Lately, I’ve been thinking about the people we leave behind when we’re gone. Ever since my grandfather’s passing, I’ve thought a lot about this man, Alfa Sanni. He’s my grandfather’s little brother. I always wonder what must be going through his head now that he is one of the last members of that generation in my family. How does he deal with the knowledge that someone he’s known for nearly a century is not physically present anymore?
